Broadband ADSL Migration

Are you looking to move from your current Broadband supplier?

Migrating from your existing Internet Service Provider is simple and no longer requires the service to cease and then be re-provided it is seemless and has no loss of service - saving you the cost of having to pay a full connection fee.

The Global Broadband Migration Service is open to all existing BT based Broadband services. It is available in all Broadband enabled areas, and you can now migrate and regrade simultaneously!

Once you have entered your Broadband ADSL telephone number you will be presented with an option to migrate your service to Global Broadband. You will require a MAC key from your current ISP before you can. This is a unique number issued by your existing ISP.

The MAC key must start with BBIP, FTIP or BBDS followed by 8 or 9 numeric characters, then a forward slash followed by 6 alphanumeric characters. The first 2 being letters, followed by 2 numbers and ending finally with a letter, eg: BBIP123456789/AD55L

What happens if I chose to migrate to Global Telecom?

The following sequence of events occurs:

  1. Once we have received your order, either via our on-line ordering system or our sales team, and verified the data, we place an order for your new service using your MAC key and telephone number.
  2. Once this contact has been made the order process begins and we contact your exsiting provider and the migration begins.
  3. It will take 7-10 working days to migrate and regrade - if requested.
  4. Throughout the migration process Global Telecom Support Staff will keep you up to date with the status of your request. Approximately 2 working days before your due migration your welcome letter will be sent to you.
  5. There should be no loss of service, you will simply need to log on when the migration completes using the new username and password. Please ensure you do not request your current ISP to cease your ADSL as this will prevent the migration from completing.
  6. Make the move today and you will be impressed.
